Peru Panorama: Lake Titicaca & Machu Picchu by Train
From the depths of the Amazon to the heights of the Andes, this adventure takes you deep into the heart of Peru. Wake up to the calls of howler monkeys at our intimate G Lodge Amazon, spot vibrant macaws in the treetops, and glide past caimans lurking along the riverbanks. Then, shift from jungle to highlands as you sail the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca, stepping onto floating reed islands where local communities share their traditions. Explore the Sacred Valley’s ancient ruins, then follow in the footsteps of the Incas (literally) as you walk through the legendary Sun Gate to Machu Picchu, where expert guides bring its mysteries to life.

Highlights
Connect with locals during a homestay on Lake Titicaca, Explore the ancient salt pans of Maras and the terraces of Moray, Journey to Machu Picchu by train with insight from a local expert, Encounter wildlife up close at the secluded G Lodge Amazon, Indulge in Peru’s rich and diverse culinary scene

Accomodation
Please note that hot water shortages and power outages can be fairly common in Peru (even in upgraded hotels and private homes). We appreciate your patience and understanding that these occurrences are outside of our control.

Group Leader
This G Adventures group trip is accompanied by one of our group leaders, otherwise known as a Chief Experience Officer (CEO). The aim of the group leader is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. They will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. While not being guides in the traditional sense you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting - we think it's the best of both worlds.
